Chet Herbert Beast revisited

Awhile back I was looking at some photos of C.Herbert's Beast 4&5 and noticed something sticking up out of the body (see photos). I now have it on good authority these are the magnetos. Seems that the body was a little to snug to fit them underneath! I'm hoping someone out there in the great Land of Hamb might have some closer or more detail photos showing these magnetos. Thanks.

 

They seem like the magnetos to me, here is chassis picture of another "Beast" version without the body top, you can see that the mag is the highest part of the engine:
