I was lookin on flebay & saw this Coupe & was wondering if anyone knows the history of it . This is not mine . but I would not mind having it either . http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-Other-Coupe-1934-Ford-Chop-Top-Barn-Find-Coupe-/121126549293?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1c33b4772d
Wow.thats freakin awesome. Hope that gets bought and restored back to its former incarnation. That's straight up cool. Looks like someone has no heart whatsoever. How can a person let that happen, looks like a tree landed on the trunk.....what a shame.
a person would have to have shit for brains to buy that on ebay without an up close and personal inspection.
I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I'd be prepared for the worst, and pull the trigger no questions asked. Pieces of history like that appears to be deserve a little more in terms of taking a chance. If i had the space right now, I'd be watching that auction like a hawk. My brain works fine.
Looks a LOT like one my Dad has. A deeply channelled '34 5-window with a rolled rear pan, and a medium blue paint job. Dad's also looks like it was a late 50's build that had been modified a bit over the years.
just looked at his prior sales and he has sold it once for 15000 .00 hope he is not a sceamer/ scammer we will have to watch this one
Did you guys note the previously chromed frame covers that start under the firewall??? Shades of Normie Poo and Valley Custom!
Except for the shocks and shock brackets, that is exactly what was used in most areas in the 50s...spring ahead taken from a later Ford, gave you hyd brakes and got the car lower without a dropped axle. Along with the 32 shell, chop, etc, it is very much a traditional car by 50s standards.
I would hit the buy it now if I didn't have a 1939 Willys Overland Coupe on the way ! I hate when I have no extra room ! That 1934 Ford Coupe is cool ! I hope it goes to good home !
Thats the style I like, early to mid-60s, but I'm afraid it's a little too much like a hot older chick in a dark bar. A lot of disappointing surprises in the light of day.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o> <o> </o>
Cool car! Looks very '60s in that color and the bar stool metalflake vinyl on the door panels. Since the pics will eventually disappear after the auction's over...
Looks like a total rot box. Only a fool would buy that without seeing it. History(if any ) is overrated. It's ugly to boot as well.
