Daaaam! I guess you really gave something for the NaySayers to talk about. Sweet chop man, GOOD for you!!!
I loved it before, and I definitely love it even more now! Can't wait to come out Memorial day weekend to actually hear/see it in person!!! PS: Just ordered all the suspension parts I need and wheels to get the frame done on the sedan. I guess spring fever is kicking in.
Tim, I am watching you. Looks alright to me. Keep at it boy! Buy a better camera please. Those last pics are horrible. No cell phone pics.
It's about time you and Kris took this on, and it's looks Bitchin'. Can't wait to see it all done. The best part is...Dad didn't have a Heart-attack when he found out.
I would have been one of those guys advising you not to chop it. That is until I saw some of your after photos. Looks great, you have really done a great job on it. You've got yourself a keeper.
One last walk-around before we weld it back on for good: <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/cmgOe80-TSE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Good Lord Henry Ford, what a super car. Thanx for sharing with all of us. Super sweet, enjoy! ~sololobo~
It was a very nice car on your first pictures. With the chop and hood, it is a perfect looking hot rod!
Nice! looks like you had about a 5" chop and then decided to go about another inch or so. The video is cool and shows all angles . What was the final chop? any angle to the chop?
It was about a 6" chop at first. Then we added 3/4" to the B pillar and took another 1" out of the windshield to give it the look we were going for.
I'm thinking it will get brush paint job for now. Then when I pay off the credit card in 30 years it will get the shine!
Thanks for all the kind words! Loudpedal and I will be back at it tomorrow night after work. We are shooting to get the chop done and drive it out to Viva at the end of next month. I'll start updating this tread as we finish it up.
Yikes! I love it. Wasn't gonna say anything about the tall top but it was out of place IMHO. The radical chop gives a completely different look but if you bring the suspension down it'll look even nastier! I chopped my 34, 5 window 3.5" with a level chop and non-leaned a-pillars...I guess it's an "old man's" chop. You and Chris are doing a nice job..the big-inch 21 studder with O.D. blows my mind! keep going
Don't worry.......you will be able to see out the window....you might just have to lean forward a bit.......Now you just need one of these wallets.....haha. http://badmofowallets.com/
