Hello Everyone, just started this new project and wanted to share with you. The idea was to build street drag car, late 50'/early 60', not sure exactly the right era of what I'm building but you will judging by the pictures below

Frame rails came from a totaled car, I did quite a lot of work to make it straight and to look back to normal, i use a 1935 Matford center cross member, and an original Model A rear Cross member. The firewall is an original too.

Home made ladders bars, that are attached to a banjo rear axle, 1948, that I shortened to match the 1936 shafts and install a Winters center section quick change

The front axle is an original heavy axle from 1932, with juice brakes from 1940

the powerplant is a full stock 365ci cadillac engine from 1956, topped with an Offy 6x2 log style intake and 94's

Last night, I did work on the steering box, it s a 1940 cross steer that I will use as a side steering, like the 1932 one, the pitman will face up , I also starter to work on the front shocks stands

I see on Tom's thread that your "lost" coupe body has been found so which one will you be using for your build?
What gearbox are you running? Your build looks good, will be following along.

    Hello Swifty
Yes apparently my first body was found, it is now en route to my place, waiting for it, I decided to keep the first one.

The gear box is a T5

Very nice! Looks like a damn nice body to start with, and the chassis and powerplant is well worthy of it.

Looking good Pete. Looking at that sitting out in the yard should be good for the motivation. Looks like you have a spare 32-5 window body now?

Now that the body arrived and the shoebox is done I can start the work on the body. No need to say it will be a challenge.

here is the first pictures, top choped 5 inches in the back and 5 1/2 in the front, the front pillar will stay in place and therefore the roof is extended.

Love it Pete! I'm definitely following this one. I've watched all your videos on YouTube of the roadster and it is just a perfect piece!
