    Thank you for starting and contributing to this thread. It has improved my opinion of channeled hot rods. Lately, I've seen a lot of really neat cars with great traditional hot rod potential ruined becuase of the latest trend to slam everything to the ground on a square tube frame-boring.

    Hopefully, today's builders will take the proper cues for hot rods channeled the right way.

  3. One I built. It only has a 3 3/4" channel and a 3" chop. It looks way more radical but the car is totally different than a Model A. The doors aren't as high nore is the body. It has a ton of headroom . My friend who is 6'-3" had a good 1 1/2" headroom. I'm 5'-10" and my eyesite is right in the middle of the front 6" windshield. I just fired up the Hemi last Sunday for the first time since I built it.

  18. I wonder how the fan set up is? The centerline of the engine is above the radiator?
     
  19. Fan - what fan; many rods did not have them back then, due to clearance problems.....
    (and heavy traffic was not an issue - or so you prayed..)

    yes kevin is a hamber , i painted and custom mixed it to match monsoon maroon , early ford
