Tonight me and my little brother started the channel on the 42 chevy pickup we're working on. we took 6" out of the front and 4 out of the back, since when it was mounted on the frame it wasn't level. Now we have about 5" of ground clearance which should be plenty, when we get the front end all finished up we're going to weld everything in for good. then after that it's in for a 6" chop. Ok here's some pictures of before and after, sorry the after ones are so crappy but it's too dark now to get good pictures before oh and i have a question too that's probably really dumb... but now that i have it at the height it's going to be at, i'm trying to figure out how long of a bed i want to make, but do you guys put the rear axle at the center of the bed? pretty much all the pictures of trucks i see are at an angle and it's hard to tell if they're right at the center of the bed. i'm thinking about around a 4 foot bed, but what are all you guys running? Thanks a lot! Frank
Lord knows I ain't no pro but it looks badass to me and the stance is gonna be kewl. Would dig seeing an update when ya get the top done
