Anyone in the greater CR area interested in getting together for bench racing, BSing, parts swapping, networking, etc.? Looking for people in the area with similar interest. I'm fairly skilled in metal fab and have a well furnished shop.

Thanks, Joker. Thought this might be a good idea. Never can have too many friends.

Dirtbag13 has a meet at his place for HAMBers late summer just north of Marshalltown. Low key with good food and drink.

I am south of Iowa City and I have a 37 Plymouth and a 57 Cadillac.

Are you an Anamosa local or recent arrival?

I have a lot of family in Monticello.

If you can wait for better weather, I'm always up for a road trip with my '36.

This could be fun. There is this little show called Vintage Torque Fest in Dubuque. Maybe you've heard of it? Either way, I'm in.

The SE Iowa group got together last year but I think that fizzled out. Never heard much after the first get-together in Ottumwa.

I got the "new" '37 Ford, a '62 F100 short bed unibody and a '70 Maverick Pro Stock. Always good to have others with like interest available with skills!

    Spark,
A buddy of mine has a Maverick drag car that he's rebuilding that belonged to some famous racer from the 60's. Also, I know where there are 2 unibody Ford trucks sitting that probably could be had cheap.

Went to Torque Fest Friday night and Saturday, had a blast!
