Anything with "Z" substituted for "S"
"Rims" - People my age are spewing this crap. (I'm 54.) Show me a wheel manufacturer named _____ Rims...
What the hell is a "Brekkie"? Never heard that before.
"Frame off"? I think it should be "body off".
"Basically" - an overused "simplification" word used to eliminate
the need for a full explanation of the facts about anything.
For example: It's basically a fine running car.
Built Ford tough
Haven't heard "Brekkie" either, not sure I want to know.
"Runs like a raped ape"
I like the one, It's ready for paint.
Just needs some TLC...usually means
"No title, but it'll be easy to get".
Short for "breakfast". May be a Canadian thing... regardless, it makes me want to toss mine.
....anyone sick and tired of the word AWESOME when there's a description of something? (If you are......That's AWESOME !!)
“Needs restored”. Instead of restoring. I don’t why but I cringe every time I read that.
“Price point” I don’t see this one around the forums too often, but hear it every day. Ugh!
"I can't wait"...to see your new paint job, to see this when it is finished, etc. What ya going to do, see it any way?
And sentences that start with So.
>First meal of the day<
Blame it on the Australians. They started it. Now it's spread to the US like coronavirus.
They all do that!
I just turned down $xxxx.xx for it!
If that were mine, I would...
"Would make an awesome gasser." And it's an ad for something like a rusty '61 full size four door whatever.
And don't get me started on all of the jackassery that gets spawned from watching drama laden "car shows".
"If it breaks in two pieces they both belong to you" HRP
I’m not sure why when it’s a true statement.
After all quality is job one at Ford
My pals' Nova was primed and we always heard "when ya gonna paint it"?
His response was usually "it is painted".
I hate seeing the word "install" used where we use to say "installation". What used to be an installation kit is now an install kit. Changing your intake manifold should be an "easy install".
“Is that one of them kit cars?”
“Must be nice to call 1-800-hotrod and snap it together”
If I hear either of these I know they’ve never built a car or really anything.
Sent from my iPad using H.A.M.B.
"Like, you know, like, I like said, like, hey you should ,like, you know, just like get some..."
Typical convo with, like, anyone under, like, 30...ish
Supposedly even appeared in the 1968 version of the "Thomas Crown affair."
and any other word where k replaces c.
It's restorable. So is the Titanic...
Dan Timberlake.... rim of a barrel?
The rim at the edge of the Grand Canyon.
know Im sayin?
stan I mean?
Some are just automatic pauses to let the mind "like" catch up"you know" to the speach. Some are trendy expressions. I think the majority of us here are not herd followers
Separate names with a comma.
