The carb i have in my 1960 Falcon with the 144ci is a Holley 1904 with the bloat bowl surface all torqued and buggered. I don't have the turnaround time for sending it out to rebuild and fix the castings. And i'm having no luck finding a rebuilt one easily.

Question is will a Holley 1960 interchange with the 1904? Can i just pull my jets and replace them in the 1960 to run it on the smaller engine?

Those two carbs are almost the same, except for ventury size. The jets are the same.

    1904, 1908, 1960............ all the same parts.

If you ever run across an Autolite 1100 series carb, pick it up. You wont be dissapointed.

i'm assuming the 1960 has larger venturi diameter, is there any major negative aspects to using it on the smaller 144 manifold/head? I plan on using this car as a daily driver (daily being relative as i live across the street from where i work) but to get around when i need too so i want it streetable.
