Pistons and Paint is tomorrow. I have no forward gears in my transmission. Is it worth it to trailer it and push it into a spot?

OH, damn, I guess you could trailer in and back it though the gate and into a spot.

You might pop the governor out and see if it is stuck or the drive teeth have been broken. Had that happen on a turbo 350 a couple of years ago. Unless the fluid smells fried then the trans needs a rebuild.

I wouldn't do it, but to each his own.

Our first year at Bonneville, we hauled a car 1500 miles that had a motor fire and had never started. Worked on it for two days before it would start. Best pass was a mere 99 miles per hour. Always better to be a participant than a spectator.

  6. by saying it has no forward gears I'm assuming it has reverse... get it on the trailer.. bring it to outside the car show.. have a buddy ride shotgun so he can pay the man at the gate back it off and into a spot.. there ya drove it to the show... hey I once drove backwards about 3 miles down a curvy ass mountain road..
