Here's the actual article,looks like the race was the 550 HP BMW SUV racing a Hemi Anglia drag car.It's likely editorial "license " and nothing legal you can do. But do call C&D to bitch,they just might do a feature of you car!!!

Not really, a lot of what is printed is bullshit.....on any subject, in any medium....it's almost always legal to print bullshit.

 

Car and Driver is to cars as Easy Rider Magazine is to bikes.

They're both worthless and are borderline gay porn.

 

This is the best drama yet..can't wait to see how it turns out..without a disclaimer or notifying you beforehand,what were they thinkin?..a match race with you giving him longer and longer spots would be cool, till hes half-way down the track..Haha

 

On the one hand, we live in a Photoshop world now. On the other hand, we live in an Internet world as well. Use the Internet, as we are here, to put fear into the SOB(s) who did this. The only thing corporations (C&D's publiusher, BMW) understand is legal liability. They are most concerned with sales and in a close second place is controlloing their exposure to lawsuits.

 

Read that artical, Id like to dump the editors drink his lap myself.

Obviously, the writer isn't much of a drag racer if he was in the staging lanes the whole time with his AC on. If that part is even true.

I used to years ago when Chubby Cheddar or Casaba Ceasar (or whatever that guy's name is) was there..... That dude has a wicked sense of humor

 

They used the same picture of the BMW in the shot with your Nova and the one with the Willys! That's just lame.

 

They didn't want to use the Anglia photo cuz the little Ford is blowing the Nazi wagon off!

You might see it as a compliment to your type of gasser style car.If the same article showed the BMW against a Fuel Dragster,well,it would be la joke,everyone knows the drasgter is way faster in a 1/4 mile.So maybe the editor is thinking the same,he's a car guy and knows it's funny to see the SUV against a Gasser car.

I think its funny how they need to make a twin turbo, lightweight hunk of sh*t to beat 40 year old technology and they still cant do it! They need to photoshop (and a crappy photoshop at that) to win the race! Go get them rotten johnny and in the meantime keep kickin' their ass at the track!

 

I say one of thr big hot rodding magazines run the same test for real with your car. a mag to mag callout.
