If you want to be period correct, you have to run caps. Go back and look through all of the old magazines. Guys just didnt run cars on the street without them.
My old man always told me you had to run em. It was against the law to go out with your nuts showing!!!!!!

  6. spider caps with trim ringsis my opinion however with out caps makes it look less of a gramma car and more of a dont mess with me look.

  7. Caps because like, the car as it looks now kindof begs for some more detail and shine. without it might just be a little too bland, could stand to recieve some shiny things, few more elements.

  8. No caps, but use chrome lug nuts

I'd say caps, but then again I am easily distracted by shiny things.

Keep the CAPS ON. I agree with a few others on putting caps on the trailer as well.

Not only did my Dad tell me that same thing...he also told my sister, when she took the '50 Mercury convert out on the weekends that "nice girls don't run around topless..." I don't know if she ever heeded his advice...

Put caps on both the car and the trailer.

I think caps on the car none on the trailer would be the most period correct. Remember the trailer was an evil necessity to get the car to the track. Look at the crudeness of the double decker trailer, I don't think it would have ever had caps.

I like to think of Jesus as wearin' a Tuxedo T-shirt, 'cause it says, like, "I want to be formal, but I'm here to party too." I like to party, so I like my Jesus to party.

Compromise, 2 caps on the car, 2 on the trailer. Or, if you decide to go with the caps, step it up a notch, add RE caps.

Caps on for shure! As someone said before, the otherwise classy looks of the setup will be ruined and look unfinished.

    Caps on in my opinion.

I think you want to match the racecar, rather than obviously match the trailer.

Instead of looking tough, it just looks like you were in a tough neighborhood and got your caps stolen!

  24. This is an earth shattering decision, but after considerable thought, I have decided to vote for caps on. Unless you're racing the Chevy, then caps off.
