I find myself pouring over little pages everyday and it amazes me how many cars had canted quads. so this naturally got me to wondering what in the hell happened to all those kustoms??? does anyone know of any survivors with the canted quads still intact or know of any old fenders or front clips laying around with canted quads? ah hell for that matter just post any pics you guys have of anything canted quad related!!! Thanks!!!
Quad lights.... I spotted it last year during the Turkey Run. Someone here on the HAMB stated that the car had a lot of history...never heard any else about it.
WoW!! My dream thread!! I am a canted quad freak...here are some I have saved...these are all 50s-60s built cars with the exception of Bob Nitti's Merc Candy red with gold scallops), it was done in the 80's and was a huge inspiration towards my path to kustom cars..
Yes they are...Here are my two latest cars, I did the quads in the Merc in 2003, and my Ford got them this past summer...Both of the '58 Lincoln variety, my all-time favorite quad set up...
Canted quads are awesome. I feel there should be a link to the 53-56 f100 w/ chrysler grille thread. Those are canted and awesome too. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=412353
Isn't it funny that when you take a look back at how the Custom World actually was....there is little similarity to all the primered, severely chopped, bagged Cartoons that are considered "traditional" by todays standards? I love canted quads....but then, I always have. Think about it. Centurion9
