I can't think of any other thread on the HAMB where some asshole and his 17 friends haven't jumped in to tell the guy he didn't know what he was doing,he was doing what he was doing wrong,or that "it's not a REAL hot rod because it's not rusty."

I want to thank "Hot Turkey" for re-lighting a fire in me to finish my own projects. It seems everytime I go out to the garage I get side tracked by some other little pending project or "Honey Do".

This on going thread has shown ME that if you get to work and stop playing around, ANYTHING is possible.

So with that said I'm off to work on my own project with a whole new mindset...

    Thanks again my friend.....

Good luck to you, my freind. We're all in this together. I too get the occasional run down of what needs work in the house as I forge on toward a running - driving car.

I put the doors back on for final fit. Found some small things to fix but that why I checked. Did hours of little things today, going to start wiring soon.

  14. I hate to say it, but I'm using the same tails and aircleaner! Spooky.

  15. I used the Pontiacs as well. A buddy gave them to me back when everyone was using teardrops... said I could have them if I quit bellyachin' and got to buidin'. That was about 15 years ago (10 years of scrounging parts and 5 years of screwing them together (up?)!

Just love the rod Hot Turkey. (You've got the right name too Dave :D).

    Hey now! LOL,
That's not mine. I've had all my friends come buy to see the coupe and they all drink. I don't. I'll give Don shit for that one.
Still in the shop, I'm trying to finish up the steering. Found the hoses for the radiator today and all the pulleys are on. I will paint the doors tomorrow as soon as it warms up. Back to it.........

Great Build. Attention to detail is magnificent, but in my opinion I think you need a Taller Tire in the rear..... I'm thinking a 16x750 which will give you that nice Rod stance

The wheels where the first parts I picked out for the build. They look great and have just the right stance. That last picture is deceiving, with the front wheels up on the ramps it throws off the whole look. I plan on getting another set of wheels down the road and will probably go with a taller one then just for kicks. Kinda like tryin on shoes, ya gota try out a few first.
Hope to finish buttoning up the front today and painting the doors. I really want to fire it up this weekend. Thanks for the input Oz.

How are you going to get any work done this summer with that 32 in the garage? You know you can't resist taking time off to go for a ride. The car is looking great.
