Michael's craft store, they gotta lotta good shit.
michael's does have all kinds of cool stuff...
another trick is find a guitar pick with a shape you like. buy a handful of them and glue them side by side to a tongue depressor or paint stick or some kind of mildly flexible support. then glue a short mask strip to the stencil to avoid over spray on the stuff you've already painted.
Hey Frank, long time dont see you on line.
How do you do the water drop effect?
Bonez there are a few ways to do it.
1) spray the base, then spray a coat of clear with flake, then spray some water onto the surface with a spray bottle. Next is you use a black paint and spray it at a 90 degree angle to the surface so it should only hit the water drops. Next spray white fro the opposite angle and wait for water to dry then clear.
2) Base, Flake, Clear, Water. Then spray the black at 90 degrees only then spray a Kandy over that then clear.
3) Base, Flake, clear, Water. Then spray the Kandy color you want to use at the 90 degrees.
4) Base, Flake, Water, black/Kandy This will give you larger droplet size bit not as smooth appearing.
Thats the ways I have done it.
Started life as a longbed c10 we just cut it down whacked the roof off then welded up everything. Its actually just two front fenders welded to longbed bedsides. Then the rear wheelwells were moved back. Then lots-o-flake.
And thanx on the hindsight on the C(razy)-10 JakdUp. I totally dig that thing.
Is it o juice or air?
And im a fan of your crazy veichles.
Used to like the 'box the most, but now its the rodster truck.

also how you used different lace patterns on top of the fenders
can't wait to see how it will be finished!
i was wondering where do you guys get youre lace?
i always visit fleemarkets in the hope i'll spot some curtains but it's hard (i'm from the Netherlands)
most of the times there not filled completely which i like when doin a roof, or the designs aren't that good..
so where do you guys get em?
here's my contribution to the thread
a prize i made for Bottrop 2012 Best panhead
Trailer Park Playboy,
that paint is so righteous!
Good job man
Honestly i hard a hard time finding it then my aunt was dumpster diving and found it
no offense, but the lace on the Fleetline is a bit overkill.
What Color went on first? The dark or light color?
No offence taken its definitely not for everyone, on this build i wanted loud break your neck in your face paint, and that was acomplished, hahaha
Wow, lotsa good stuff boys!
About the fleetline, yeah, totally overkill, but i can deffo appreciate it. Cant wait to see it cleared and under the sun.
Dude, thats sick. I live like 15 min from you. Cant wait to see in person!
got some clear laid down
Wow.... just wow....
I can't even start to tell you how much i like that.
amazing how many more clear coat you counting in ?
WOW! WOW! WOW!
Damn, trailer park...that is so sick! I could stare at that for hours!
That's Bad Ass! Great work. I want to do lace on my dash but I can't even figure out what color goes on first.
I believe that the light color went down first; if you look at the lace between the paisley bits you will see larger dark purple "squares" where the dark paint was not filtered by the lace. If I am wrong I'd like to know, but I think that is how that went down.
