I am so sorry to hear about your loss. No parent should outlive their children. I too feel the same about sharing my personal life with the internet but know that there are others that care about you and feel for you and offer their support. Gather strength from all the pages of HAMB members that responded to you in your time of need.

LB, I can't express how truly sorry I am to read of your sons passing.
I have two that I seldom see but still worry about as though they
still lived with me. I hope your pain passes quickly but the good
memories last your lifetime.

 

As I sit here with leaking eyes trying to write this I'm overwhelmed with the outpouring of support from my brothers and sisters on the HAMB. Believe me I have read and took to my heart ALL your messages and they REALLY help.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart even if it was just a short I'm sorry I really appreciate ALL of them. And some of you are more eloquent than others and it give me pause while I sit here and try to read them through my tears.

Thank you my FRIENDS I will try to be back to some semblance of "normal" soon you should know you all are making the process easier.

 

I usually only send condolences to those I know well but your post and that of others really touched me. As a father of two and grandfather of eight I can’t imagine the pain and helpless feeling you must have of not being able to attend the funeral. God Speed to your son and I will pray for your healing.

 

I hesitated to open your post as I knew it would be painful to read. So sorry your son had to go through all that. I too have children in that age group and can't imagine what you are going through. My condolences to you also. Hope you will be back to the HAMB soon. You are a major contributor here and you are much appreciated.

 

Prayers for you and your family! My wife is dealing with Cancer right now. I understand the pacing the floor for sure. I pray for strength.

As parents, we expect to precede our kids to the Big Show. When that doesn't happen as planned, and they go before us, it just feels so wrong.
Loudbang....... you have been so generous clicking the "Like" tab on so many of my posts, really on everyone's posts, I didn't have a clue about what you were and are going through. But I get what you mean when you say that the HAMB has bourn you up through some dark days. Know that you are a huge asset here and you have "bourn" all of us in so many ways. I hope my simple post, plus the many pages of other posts, can work to soften and shorten this latest dark time.

My heartfelt sympathies. May your son rest in peace. I did the same last year on another forum I frequent when my wife passed away from breast cancer, but it took me months to do so. Hang in there, and remember the good times knowing you will see him again.

 

As a father, tears come to my eyes, as a cancer survivor, fuck cancer.

Man I am sorry to hear this. I will keep you in my prayers. With so many truly bad people walking this earth it's just not fair to see good people and loved ones taken from us. Hang in there and hold fast to what ever faith you might be, and seek comfort from those loved ones still here and who truly care for you.

I never answer these posts but as a parent of a 40s kid, I don't know if I could bear the pain....and my wife, his mother would be even worse. You have my prayers and sympathy.

 

So sorry to read this. The loss of a child is just about the hardest thing a person can go through. Hang in there...
