    20160502_092231.jpg Help !!!

I am in search of a proper replacement fuel pump.

The car is a canadian built Pontiac Laurentian 2 dr. sport coupe. 239 C.I. Auto trans.

The distance when measured horizontally from the pump mounting face to the tip of the lever arm is 2". The diaphragm is secured with 10 screws and is approximately 3-3/4 " in diameter.

I have purchased a carter m2118 and have found the pump lever arm to be a half inch shorter when measured horizontally between the pump mounting face and tip of lever arm.

    Any help would be appreciated
    The search continues.

@ rusty - Yes I picked up the carter m2118 equivalent from napa. chevs of the 40's. 49-54nca.com. they all offer a fuel pump for a 53 Chevrolet product the same as napa although they all have the shorter lever arm.

    @ kool kat-57 - Its a 1953 pontiac laurentian 2 dr. sprt coupe with an automatic powerglide. 239 C.I.D

After bastardizing the bits I needed from the old pump and tweaking a couple things on the new pump (Carter m 2118) Napa (4149).
The pump is working off of the car just fine and I will find out tomorrow once i bolt it up whether or not it will need a bit of fine bastardizing (tuning).

thanks for all the input and suggestions !
