Can you identify this 50's custom car bumper? It's on an early 50's Buick super or roadmaster, but what is it originally from? It resembles 55 Pontiac, but those bumpers bulged out under the taillights. image.jpg

Looks like a custom made bumper to me. I can't recall any straight split bumpers from
    Detroit.

Check 55 Pontiacs for the actual bumper but I think the piece over the middle is off something else.

Looking at photos of 55 Pontiacs it looks like they used the front bumper with the center piece off the back bumper. Google 55 Pontiac and you can figure out how they did it.

Late 50's early 60's Rambler have split bumpers as did Jeep wagons.
Looks like center may be from Kaiser

The entire center section including the over rider is 55 Pontiac rear, with ends from a 52 Buick Special welded on to conform to the shape of the rear of the body. Surprisingly the contours were the same.
