Technical Can you guyz help me ID this Bellhousing ??? Mopar ???

    Sorry about the fuzzy photo...
    The part number on it is 1736436
    I "THINK" it is Mopar of some sorts
    The big hole makes me think automatic ?????
    I know there is someone here that knows more them me
    And Help or Input is much appreciated....THANKS

  2. it looks like a mid 50's mopar a488 auto bell housing, should fit early hemi and poly motors I believe.

    That loooong input only applies to semi-auto and full manual trans. The fully automatic, Powerflite and Torqueflite, have 'normal' length bells.

    I agree this housing is for a Mopar automatic, but I do not know the specific application.

    Maybe 73RR would have the answer.

  5. The engine block side bolt pattern screams B/RB (350, 361, 383, 413. 426, 440) and not A or early hemi/poly engine. The alignment dowel locations and starter location are the giveaways. The casting number range makes me think its for 1958 or so application. The long crankshaft flange stick-out dimension on the 62 and earlier engines requires the deeper bellhousing depth. For confirmation, try it out on a 440 engine.
