Hot Rods Can someone help identify these wheel opening trim pieces.

I found these wheel opening trim moldings in the bottom of a box of parts I am selling for a friend. Everything else was identified and/or identifiable.
These are steel, not aluminum.
I have absolutely no idea what year, make model these could be from?

Are they plated brass or steel? In the 50's Mercedes Benz did something like those probably in formed brass sheet and then chrome plated.

 

These are steel.... They have been recently re-chromed... Triple plated.

 

The shape looks like M-B Google M-B 220 SE
