Hot Rods Can I convert a Corvette (aftermarket) master cylinder...

    ... from a Disc/Drum to Disc/Disc? I had read somewhere that the only difference is a valve that you either add or remove.

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Just go buy a 68-72 vette master which was disc/disc. Can get a power or non-power unit. Been using them since the 70's.

    Just got a reply from CPP and fellow says the master cylinder I have can be used for both disc/drum and disc/disc. So I'll used "DoublePumper's" advice and install external residual valves front and rear as well as proportioning valve at the rear.

    The main concern is having enough fluid reserve in the master for the increased fluid volume of disc brake calipers over drum brake wheel cylinders. You're good to go....good luck!
