That was Jim Kamboor's car, the Jado Special. It was in HOT ROD, I think the April 1955 issue. ( or was that his dragster, also called the Jado special)

It had an unblown Chrysler in it originally. Big Jim was a very successful caterer in So Cal. In recent years, Jesse James had it and it ended up with the Petersen awaiting restoration.
The picture looks like it could have been taken by David Perry. But im not sure how old the picture is.
No she does quite a bit, but somehow she says it with an "R" stuck in there some how... Not sure how she does that.
Thats an old picture.................decades old. I don't have that issue handy but it would be a safe bet to say Eric Rickman or Bob DOilvio possibly took that shot.
Chip and I are members of a secret club. We know each others pain... First Vietnamese phrase I learned was "Ngu nhu bo" and I hadn't even married her yet!
Not 100% sure, but I seem to remember an out take of this photo shoot in one of the "year in the life of Eric Rickman" articles in Hot Rod Deluxe in the last year or so.
