Technical Can a 35 Ford PU cab make a lakes roadster?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by jfg455, Mar 20, 2014.

Here is my project, 1946 Roadster Pick up. Narrowed to fit on 32 rails. Made from misc. parts and cast offs. Body is narrowed 8 inches, 8 inches off the bottom, and the floor is now 4 inches closer to the dash. Uses MG windshield frame that I cut 2 inches out of and Tigged it back together. Yes, I am trying to polish a terd!! and practice my welding skills.

That is interesting 37Milrat. I recognized the MG posts before I read the text. My dad used to restore MG's.
  3. i see you have an extra cowl, how about using it instead of the back of the cab and weld a hood and enclosed grill [facing backwards] in lieu of a pickup bed. the lines should flow and it would have the shape of a drop tank. i am sure someone can photo shop this for you.
