I live in royalton,18 miles n/e of carbondale. I was thinking mt vernon or nashville would be a great place,half way for most of us.

 

Hey DD,

Were you thinking of meeting at a public park or something? Were you wanting to BBQ? How about meeting at a bar or restaurant. I can think of a couple in that area. Joly Acre, Blue Room...there's one called Mid-Way or Halfway, something like that, just East of Nashville on Rt. 51 & 15. Half way between Nashville and Mt. Vernon.

Just some thoughts.

really dont matter to me,there is a lone star in mt vernon also.I know there is a couple other so. il. boyz on here just haven't heard from them.I can drive to fairveiw heights if that would be better for some of ya. maybe get some guys from st. louis area.

trying to get there, it is only about 5 hours

If it were being held around the middle of August I could make it. I'm visiting my family in Mt. Vernon around the 16th. My nephew is 17 and starting to like the old cars so I want to find something for him to work on.

 

Sounds like you guys are talking south western Illinois. I'm in south eastern and would consider a get together if it were a little closer. Actually we're doing a BBQ at a buddy's garage this afternoon, if anyones interested let me know.
