Undecisive on a 2 or 3" chop on my 29 Roadster and would like to ask for some inspiration! Any photos with numbers would be appreciated!

Thanks Guys, my seat and height (im small lol ) is not as important as to the asthetic look as i can work around the logistics afterwards. I am looking at buying some chopped folding screen posts and really wanted to see exact differences in each obviously its a fussy affair to which i need to be happy with!
At the moment im leaning towards 3", im really likeing the stance on two coupes above....

My 29 has a 3inch chop and my seat is out of a 1997 to 2001 Jeep wrangler . I wish my windshield had about another inch or my seat was a little lower. I'm 6 foot.[IMG][IMG]

4” chop and a foldable 30/31 style stanchion. Going back, I might have just done 3”, but I like how it is. I’m 6-1 and have no issues

This is about 3" maybe a tad more, I sit pretty low and I am "vertically challenged" so it seems fine to me. If I were taller or my seat had a lot more cushion I would be looking over the top of it, I might lean it back too if I get around to it. 20180709_191913.jpg

I spent 40 years looking up and down around the top bar of my '29 windshield. I'd recommend getting the seat you want, sitting in the car, and taping where the top bar would be most advantageous. Cut along the dotted line.

Sorry for the poor picture but it's not finished. Chopped 4" + laid back = a lot, but the seat sits me with the top of my head even with the top of the windshield....looking thru the middle of the glass. I guess it kinda depends what you like. 20150710_173851_resized.jpg

  20. 2 1/2". Much more and the proportions change too much, and the car appears longer if you are running a top.

  26. Good, I thought maybe the "patina" crowd might have won him over.
I know Steve wants to paint it. If he would stop blowing up motors he could save the money for a paint job. ;)
I just like to yank his chain about it. :)

Haha keep it up Dean we all love to poke a bit of fun out of each other, at least you know it's in good hands! And yes money's obviously a big issue! Saying that my brother payed for Gene Winfields flights and put him up to paint his Camino!! May be Steve could work out a similar deal with Mr Conway

Mine are chopped 4" and leaned back. I bought a 2" chopped set from John Williamson, but decided to go this route instead. Bill
