Calling all buick guys or girls

Need some help to identify which Nailhead i have-- Tried doing a search but i keep getting different answers...On the back of engine I have the GM #1196547 but as you are looking at it I have some other #'s stamped on the left side (upside down) where the valley cover bolts to...#3HI35I96 and on the other side #4H8007237....... Alittle confused cause this motor came out of a 61 lesabre (from what i was told).. so it could be a 364 or 401.. Thankx in advance for any info...

Any ideas what the stamp #s on front stand for???

 

4H8007237 is the VIN of the car the engine was taken from:

4 = LeSabre
H = 1961
8 = built at Arlington, TX
007237 = production number

3HI35I96 is the production code:

3H = 1961 364 V8
135196 = the I is most likely a 1 (common Buick practice), but I don't know what the numbers stand for, maybe engine sequence number?

'61 would have had a 364. buford26 is right on the money.
