I built a hot rod and registered it using Californias SPCN (special construction) system in 2006.
My question is: Is it possible to transfer the registration?
All the DMV info says SPCN cars are not for resale, but that's it.Will I have to part it out?

Haven’t heard that. I built a speciality constructed motorcycle and sold it no problem.

  3. That means that you are not building multiple of them to sell as a source of income, that's how I interpreted the wording at least.

I also think that there is "X" amount of SCPN vehicles you allotted to build per year, or "X" amount they will register total per year.

Best bet would call the DMV and verify.

    Thanks for the help guys.
Ya, I was hoping to avoid calling the DMV for all the obvious reasons and thought someone may have done it.
    Thanks again.
