    from eureka, ca

I bought a 1937 1.5 ton ford project 2 years ago. Came with a signed - 1987 Oregon pink slip and bill of sale.. Ca requires a certified weight slip. Truck must be comlete to weight. Also CHP vin. inspection.. That took 18 months to accomplish.
Filed all the paper along with YOM work in Aug. After waiting 5 months I was told the local office DMV had made error on YOM application .. After many hours in line on several different days at DMV and several hours on telephone (hold) with Sacramento speciality processing office the form was resubmittted.. Another month passed And I got the registration and stickers.. Yahoo.
Pinkslip got here yesterday. They miss typed the license plate numbers. (1 for I) Took it back and they said no problem to fix their error. They said will only take 3 more months. Got to love the Calif. DMV
Am I the only one or do others have this kind of trouble?
  2. Sydney Australia at times do pretty well. The first time I transfered the rego over from Victoria to NSW I was told that Ford didn't make cars as far back as 1938.
