When all is said and done the truck is way cooler in my opinion. Congrats on the trade!

I fail to see a problem with that trade.

I would be very happy with the trade. Of course i'm biased. This is our's which is for sale by the way.[IMG]

  5. I traded a driving 59 Vette for a 34 Ford, no motor or trans. The way I look at it is you get what you want and get rid of what you don't, if you can trade what you don't want for what you do want then you are ahead of the game. But most people don't think like me. But I got what I wanted.

I think it is an upgrade. I never liked the looks of the rear fenders on a Willy's pickup, has anyone added a 1935-40 style rear fender to them? Bob

I wondered about 40 Ford rear fenders also . I just happen to have a set , I'll hold them up there for a look .

Even though I love Anglias, I would've done the same thing.

Mike I'm glad we traded. We both ended up fullfilling our dreams. I know when you get the truck done it will be the bomb. Very impressed by the job you did on the Anglia. I was looking to add a anglia to my Willys and Henry J. I love coming home and seeing all three sitting together. Thanks again. The truck will be very cool when done and I know it went to a great person that will make it better! Thanks, Rob Mullins

Well I am partial to Gassers... Both are super Cool Cars, Although the Anglia was Turn key... and the Pick up has a lot less Leg Room... It's all about what you want. I prefer the Anglia's Myself but i would take either of those! haha

how tall are you guys? does interior space factor in for either one of you?

seriously, as a big guy, those are tiny cars, and i'm wondering how you compensate for seating.

LOL good one Mike. I'm 6'4 and 285. It's all in how you build them. I fit fine in my 41 Willys truck. But I used 67 camaro seats that have a thin back and held them all the back to the cab. Mike had the Anglia built to fit him. I ended up removing the cage and having my friend put a new chrome moly cage in it that gave me more room. The old cage was done nice but I needed more room. It's comfy now for big guys like myself.

Better you than me trading a running BBC Anglia for the truck project. I love both but... Have fun with the build. I look forward to seeing it finshed.

Finish the Willys PU the way you want it.

And then start looking for another Anglia. You know you're gonna miss it.

    That's what I did.

I just sold my 33 Willys and bought a 48 Thames. To each their own.

  25. Great looking cars! The Anglia reminds of one that used to run brackets at OCIR in the early 80's
