Traded @Tim 2 BBQ sandwiches for a pretty sweet A hood not a bad deal ;) got the flatty a starter, got the @porknbeaner over and helped get the 49 to run again so all and all a productive weekend IMG_20180522_090546_436.jpg IMG_20180522_090546_435.jpg 20180509_154442(0).jpg

I can just see the Chevy full to the gills with your lady and dogs and camping gear and flat towing the model A out to an adventure :)

The period locations of headlights may have been high in the sky and this is just my thoughts. I am sure you have searched and given much thought to this however there are many threads to glean from and deviations from the looks are an individual decision.

^ jesus read that three times fast lol

Yeah era correct would be much higher, they do look a little low and wide spread in some of the photos but they feel more correct in person.

I think that’s partially because I have a good idea of what the rest of the car will look like So mentally I’m seeing them in that light.

    Either way I dig em

Yeah the high headlights arent for me and I know the norm is up high but I don't care much for the look of that. I've seen a few examples of early hotrods with low slung lights and that did the trick for me.

  23. I probably should not mention this but the car really looks like a kids car from whenever and where ever USA.

Snag and old heap, find an appropriate mill and some wrecking yard tires and scab it together. Then drive the living doux doux out of it. Little by little "fix it up" but the main thing is get it running and party with your friends along the way.

  25. He's almost there. I got an idea hat it may go down on a stretcher but it'll cruise when it gets there. Maybe once it makes a turn around the block it'll decide that it is a Joplin or Bust car and we'll just keep the stretcher handy just in case.

Yup! That way he doesn’t have to worry about a basically Untested build on a giant first shake down trip.

Cruise around for the weekend and if ya feel froggy try to drive home with the stretcher following.
