Technical Butt welding clamp 2.0

Ive been thinking of making better butt clamps for an upcoming project...

Took some ideas from some members and came up with a prototype.

If theres enough interest I can do a step by step build..
It took me like 4 minutes to build and about $1.50

Does the spring stay stuck inside the tube to ease the job? If not maybe a glob of formagasket would keep it there but let it sproing.

 

Yes spring is in there for good tgat way u only have a 2 piece clamp

Think "syringe with a sping...
Only 4 spot welds and 1 hole drilled through the strap

 

Make the little cappy thing on the end of your tube have wings so you can press the plunger in just like a syringe, one-handed. (I bet you are already working on that version as I type this)
