Two years ago a guy up the street- about a city block- had his shop burn down with two restored T's in it, a '15 roadster and a '27 touring. I'd talked to him prior to this and had bought some parts. Even chewed him out for leaving the '15 outside when it was snowing- so I stopped after the burn and asked what he was going to do. He said re-restore them. Today he said come and make an offer, I did and I now own the Ts! So, since magnets still stick to the body, I figure not all the carbon burned out and they're fixable. Does anybody out there have experience with annealing/treating burned body panels?
Um, they went through a fire and prob cooled rather slow.................its called annealed already! Clean the metal real good and start over. Most of us start with T sheetmetal that has been through a lot worse.
