Show your Bullet Birds of Favorites, but first, who copied who?
Ford has borrowed from other 'family' designs for years....look at pix of Ford sedans and T-birds from mid-50s. Designers are noted for adopting popular 'looks' from one car to enhance the style of another. Been going on for years. I must admit that I had never noticed how similar/identical that main grille crosspiece is on these two cars .
Yea, we needed a '61/'62/'63 Thunderbird picture thread. All the pic threads on the HAMB & no T-Bird bullet love.
One of my favorites, pic pulled off the 'net somewhere:
Yea, I know ,here it is again
Designed by the same team...
Even the British Fords got the treatment
Elwood Engel's team was responsible for the stainless banding along the crown lines of T birds Lincolns and Mercs in that era. He went to Chrysler around 64 and you can see that same influence in the cars there till about 68. The Turbine car even looks like the T birds cousin...
Here's my 62 roadster
Absolutely the sexiest car that Ford ever built!
Here's my '62 I picked up a couple weeks ago. Runs a 302/C6 combo.
I love those cars.
302? Wow, fairly heavy for that engine. I have a 71 Custom with a 302 stick, and it runs really well, but I believe the stick helps it out.
Anyone ever 429/460 one of these?
Here's mine from Wisconsin. Older kustom from mid-'90's. All asymmetrical styling. Running the original 390 with a C6. Might be looking for a new home...
No love out there for the Bulletbirds?
This one belongs to a HAMB'r if my memory serves correctly:
I really like the styling of the 61 Bird and the 61 Lincoln, great looking noses
Do not, under any circumstances, change one thing on that car. Ever.
X2 on that one!
I really like this one, leaning this direction on mine I think.
I think one of these 'Birds with only 2 inches out of the roof would be sweet
One of my dream cars...and Chainsaw, I never get tired of seeg yours.
screw you guys. I want one baaaaad. I want to find some sucker to trade my '40 straight up for a bullet bird.
My 1962 Thunderbird

great looking car!
I've always liked this one from down under..... and the owner told me, so did Billy Gibbons....
Here are a couple
yup, that's perfect too.
That green one is SWEET.....
My buddy and I built this one
slowly getting there.. a number of mild kustom mods, nothing to showy, almost ready for paint.. jambs done
