No Rat Rods please. I'd like to see projects, or finished cars, built from what others considered trash or unusable or just saved from the crusher.

Hot rod cast-offs into speedster fun.

The "tail" is a 1941 Ford hood I picked up at a swap meet.
The hood was made from 2 junk hoods I bought.

    Still a work in progress.

I'm the president of the Grave Robbers Car Club, here in Idaho.
One of our club rules mandates that any members car has to have been pulled from a Junk yard.

'51 Chevy from Minn. Frame-off in progress. Bottom third rotted out, had to find a better frame, so found a '50 Chevy at Blythewood, SC junkyard. Rolled '50 on its side in a buddy's field and cut off frame and floor braces. So, we saved one car and saved the frame off another. Have restored rolling chassis, CE IFS, Currie 9" (3.70), Walton tranny x-member & rear leaf kit. Having a blast.:D

My daily driver was on the flatbed driving to the scrap yard when I bought it from the guy.

Where's Jim Sibley? If you don't know him look up his threads and posts. He can turn trash into treasures in a short time. Things I thought were to far gone he brings back. Now I tell people around here nothing is to far gone unless Sibley says so.

  15. Most everything in this shot was junk... and to most "gold chainers" still is! But when everything you have is junk its hard to ruin it.

notice in the left corner "1927 chrysler parts car"

entire back end was made from a 47 chevy fast back roof (no money to buy new metal!)

So far most of this build is from parts That I or my dad collected ,32 rails were junk but I saved them ,The trans tunnel is out of a chevy truck shortened and narrowed ,Free parts out of a friends truck which he was parting out .Trans is out of an olds I use to own.Rear wheels I traded some stuff for 20 years ago ,Motor is out of my first chevelle from 20 years ago .I could go on and on .So far Ive only got around 3500.00 in the whole build,Not including consumables or materials or electric.I do have all the parts except for driveshaft and rear spring ,Also no interior or top .The 40 ford wheel is cracked ,But I'll save that too. This car will be painted and of show quality . ebay pics 129.jpg
