    20180406_153518.jpg He guys. Took off the intake from the 59a. When I was reading the books I hoped mine looked better. What do you think? I was happily supprised by what I saw.

    I would be inclined to put that engine back together and run it.

  8. I've never seen a used flathead engine that clean inside. Mine usually have black goop all the way up to the underside of the intake manifold.
    BTW, I spent a few years in Europe [Germany] and saw thousands of Hanomags.....all diesel delivery trucks. Didn't know they ever offered a small car like the Currier. Feel happy you didn't get a Gogomobile. The American 5 ton truck driver's worst enemy.

    Maybe it has been rebuild at some point and never used again. I will be taking it apart to check it. And put in the merc crank and strengtened main caps.

    How about the pistons, what if they are not worn out, can they handle 6-7 psi boost?
