Well I guess even posting in "technical " Heading doesn't allow fuel injection to be mentioned. Had a build thread for our latest '56 F100 truck on here and it is close to completion. The complete thread is gone. I would have edited the offensive material out if a moderator had contacted me but to kill the entire build seems excessive. I've answered a lot of questions members have asked and try to help whenever possible. What a shame.
I would expect them to notify if I was in error...before killing the thread. I have no problem changing any post to conform.
I am the one that killed it. I thought about trying to edit it but there was just far too much off topic content. Electronic fuel injection, Aftermarket Independent front suspension and large diameter billet wheels.
you can read the rules here : https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-h-a-m-b-rules-guidelines.44274/
I already had a PM typed out to Corncobcoupe earlier but didn't send it. Wasn't feeling happy about the situation. I can just stop documenting builds and just post pics of my dog...dogs aren't banned, are they?
Editorial decisions by Moderators..... Late Model Engine / Holley EFI Mustang II suspension 22 / 20 “ Billet style wheels
It was off topic, It got reported by a member. I am surprised it ran as long as it did as far off topic it was. have you read the guidelines here?
Hey - document the builds - just don’t include the non traditional stuff and your posts won’t get deleted. Thanks.
Unfortunately, even us long time members are not immune to have threads delete, sometimes the thread will be given a pass for a extended period of time and then it's gone,I too have had it happen. Now if I ask myself is any part of a build off topic I don't photograph it nor do I talk about it. HRP
A PM would have been nice to discuss it. There are very few build threads being done and fewer are fully traditional. I try to let the pics show the work without discussing the IFS at any length. The owner picked the wheels and EFI. I'll stop. No biggie. Gives me more time to work. Now where did I leave that S10 frame?
