Ok, I know we have a lot of members, but how about some eye candy (I’m thinking car stuff, but whatever!) to help keep us busy during these trying times.

I’ll start with 4 pictures of my ongoing build I haven’t shown y’all yet.

The 64 first, then back to the 54 after too many years sitting. DSCF7468.JPG DSCF7533.JPG 12976964_1188083281215956_8737040886526219113_o.jpg 13063016_1188083331215951_4242839150441894114_o.jpg

Here are some pictures of the 42 Chevy I’m building for my daughter. I may have posted some of these before D1C708A9-D713-4A59-80A2-A604A2DEA8BC.jpeg

  6. I know that it's not totally hamb friendly, but here's mine after a lot of changes this winter. Paint (black) and wiring harness are next... 20200324_192122.jpg
  7. I really like the blue, can't wait to see it in black. What's not HAMB friendly about it? BigO

  9. So I'm gathering parts, Model A frame, '40 front and rear axle, drum to drum, 286" flatty under construction w/Bill Coleman, t-5 tranny. Looking for a '29 non-roadster cowl, firewall to A pillar and want to construct a short body (like Vicky) woody with curvature along the sides (using my coupster for a template) rather than all vertical and 90* stuff. Maple framework and dark mahogany inserts. The wooden vicki now known as the Wooki may not be totally HAMB friendly, but that's my plan. Wife says coupster messes her hair, so told her I'd build something with a real roof. Found 8/4 Maple at the lumberyard millworks and they're excited to help me. So should get a good start soon if they're still open as essential. I should start a thread when I get under way. And I only get to use one bay to work in the garage where the coupster sits. May have to move her car out. Like that may ever happen..

Memories, light the corners of my mind,
misty base coat, clear coat memories - of they way it was

Scattered pictures, of the parts I bought and built,
parts of chrome and polished metal, and the way it was

Can it be I spent so much money then
Or the years and years of time

And if we had the chance to do it all again
    Tell me would we,
    could we?

Three years I purchased this 53 Stude. Lots of metal replaced. LOTS! The frame is a 58 Hawk. Almost ready to finish up. IMG_0604.JPG IMG_0966.JPG IMG_2836.JPG IMG_1737.JPG

I had to replace a rusted out rear window frame. To replace the rear window frame, I needed to remove the rear quarter windows. Then I discovered I had to repair the window frame around the quarter windows. Since I had to do the hated body work, there were a few other places that needed attention. That was about the point it got out of hand.
My wife actually suggested I could put her car outside during the winter, so I could work on the coupe!
Whats left is painting the wheels, both bumpers, and installing the new to it interior.
I know, pictures or it didn't happen. Gene

My 30 Sport Coupe, bought the body 20 years ago, mocked it up and then shoved it into the corner. Got back on it about a year ago and hope to have it on the streets this summer.
