Thanks. It's actually very quiet. When the air compressor is running it is louder than the engine.

Wastelander. This build turned out awesome. I love the fact that you scrapped so much and focused on the general shape of the 53 ford. You kept it super clean. I really like the lack of gauges and all simplified aspects of it. Great job on building a perfect 50's concept car/grown-ups go-cart. Drive the hell out of it. !

I did not see that coming. Very cool!

  6. At first I thought your concept was crazy, but you turned a wreck into a masterpiece.

Not all that HAMBly in my view, but a fabulous car nonetheless.

Just shows you don't have to follow someone else's formula to build a neat car.

  8. I could see from the start, that you had vision, because of what you started with.
I wondered about engine choice briefly, but like how it turned out.
Never been a fan of silver customs, to modern looking for my tastes, but its only paint.
The whole deal is outstanding, thanks for showing us your build.

Wow, I'm usually not into these kind of builds, but that is definitely different,
and I actually really like it.

I really laughed at the x member you built, wondering where the drive shaft would run.

I was like what the balls is this guy thinking the whole time and then when it was in paint I think I understood. Its like a vision of what the future might look like to someone in the 50's.

  14. If ever a thread deserved to be "Featured" this is it. Great out of the box build thank you for sharing it.

    Mebbe so...

I can't imagine the rear-engine Corvair swap being thought of pre-64.

Regardless, I like the car a lot.

Totally impractical, totally rad, totally awesome design, fab, and finish skills. I just keep wondering what it drives like. I'm not much into "show" cars, but you've certainly demonstrated your fab skills and dedication to your art and craft. Kudos and cheers!

Damn, if that isn't one of the coolest builds I have ever seen!
Another case of "Thinking outside the box" and you said "Box, what box is that!"

LOVE your car! Inspiring... That being said, how can you change your rear tires?

I'll bet the air bags will get it up enough with the skinny tires, narrow rear track, and big rear fenders.

I designed the body to come off the frame with minimal effort. 8 bolts, one wire harness and 2 pedal pads. Now, that won't really help me if I have a blowout on the side of the highway.
