Went 4 dr HT instead of 2 dr. At the NY auto show it was called Aster. Not sure what the production name was. Olds was also a 4 dr but was named Holiday. Sweet wagons for sure.
Buick and Olds both made 4-door hardtop wagons in 1957 and 1958. There is interesting history with these cars. The manufacturers sent 4-door Hardtops (not wagons) to the Iona facitily where the tops were cut off and they were converted to wagons. http://www.coachbuilt.com/bui/i/ionia/ionia.htm http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1957-fiesta-wagon-or-1958-caballero.1058697/
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Nawww !!! Safari all the way. Safari was also a 4 door machine. Saw a nice one in the auctions at Carlise yesterday. Only two door hardtop wagon built was the Mercury 57,58,59. Oldmics
They are ALL beautiful cars but i have always been partial to the 55 56 and 57 Chev Nomad wagon and of course my own 74 Chev Caprice Estate wagon. Cheers. George
