So can it be done with little to no fabrication? Has anyone else done it?

No problem all you need is a Pontiac front clip and sub-frame for the extra length. But otherwise put a 235 back in it and be done. The Buick and Pontiacs are longer because of the motor. It's 10 pounds in a 5 pound sack for a Chevy.

  3. Little or no fabrication? Yes, it can be done that way.

Did it in a 37 chev coupe; had to cut out the original firewall and moved it back to the dash. No problem.

they are a cool engine , a rebuild kit was $1200 last time i priced one years ago , engine weighs around 800lbs 263 , also tend to run warm and dont make a lot of hp , and if reved over 4000 rpm have a tendency to turn inside out , know your animal lol , id drop a v8 in the chevy myself , but be different thats cool to , it just cost more

they are extremely cool in model a's....8 single carbs and straight exhuast pipe for each port makes for a very cool engine.
