buick brakes on 47-54 chevy pickup?

i have a 52 chevy pickup and want to install buick 45 fin drum brakes. just wanted to know if any hamb'rs had done this. thanks

 

I haven't done it. Tex Smith wrote about how to do this years ago. Its in one of his books.

 

You use Buick backing plates. at least two of the mounting holes are the same, drill the others you need. Make up some spacers to hold the backing plate in the right position.
