RAINH8R: U mention u have two of them waiting for a new home, what exactly do u have? Engines, transmissions, or both. If you have the 300 with a switch pitch T400, then I am really interested in getting one. PM me with info.

Just like many of the older engines it was unto itself. The 215 and 300 shared it.

U sure, I think the 300 was BOP all the way. I know 225 V6 Dauntless engines are BOP and 225 is 3/4ths of 300. Both 225 and 300 were available in 64.

IIRC the 198 Fireball V6's and the 215's were the same bell pattern. And looking over a pic of the 215 bell, it certainly looks awfully close to the old nailhead pattern, save the two top bolt holes.

Dual path drive was a low end 2 speed, but it was interesting in that it has a lockup clutch in the converter.

Wanna cheap set of aluminum valve covers for a 215/300 Buick? Check out the Rover flat top covers. I picked up a set for 40 bucks. With a little work they polish up nice.

FWIW The 310 and the 355 were both 300ci. The 310 was the torque and used a 2 barrel, the 355 was the torque and used a four barrel.

I had a 65 Skylark with the 310, they are good engines.
