Bucket seats in a 53 Chevy Coupe

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Snegrah, Nov 13, 2011.

  1. I'm thinking of going with bucket seats. Currently, I have the stock bench seat which is a little "bouncy". I've had it refurbished but still don't like it. Looking for a low back bucket that has a dead seat and has a seat belt latch. Any suggestions for a bucket seat that looks like it came with the car?

buckets are for headlights!! Now, how do I feel about bucket seats? I love em, they are perfect in sports cars. Remember, your car, your way. Rock on bro. ~sololobo~

Hey Tom, look for the GM low back buckets from the 60s Impala or Pontiac and even the Corvair. I found a pair from a Corvair in a local yard. I put them in my 51 convertible. They're the only bucket that looks the part.

Hey Snegrah, I'll buy your stock seat off of you. PM me. I'm in the Bay area.
  9. 60's-70's Mercedes have old school looking buckets.

I wouldn't put buckets in a 50's car unless it was a 60's gasser style but it's not my call.
