This IS a child of the 80ies! This was it's debut I took that photo at the Australian Street Rod Nationals in Canberra in 1985 with a disposable camera!!

I still really love the Predicta. Best bubbletop ever, IMO.

WOW! I had NO idea there were this many bubble cars out there. I guess I have seen most all of them, but did not really think about how many it added up to over the years. Amazing!

Yea, it kind of adds up when you put numbers on it.

Hey Man, my thunderbird thing is called the Iron Lung and I'm really glad you like it! I've been busting my butt trying to finish it. Truth be told Aaron's lunar lander is what blow my mind and got my gears turning on these cars. When he built the punk I thought its was cool and different , but I never set out to build one like it. It just kind of happened one nite and away it went. I worked totally backwards on it. I built the body and then realized I had no frame !! So why not attempt to build one . Little I did I know I put myself through a crash course of chassis design!! Lol it was bad.... I think it's on chassis number 4 now !!! Every now and then I attempt to upload pictures but its just keeps refusing them so I just don't bother with it anymore...

    Stay at it dude!

The Messerschmit, yea, I don't know for sure. Yes, it sports a bubble, but I am not sure if it should be added...

I was watching "stotage wars" on TV the other night(repeat) & Barry was driving the "Beatnik (#7) to one of the auctions! Looked cool going thru traffic. It seemed like he was driving it with a small gap under the bubble for air.
Some guy flipped him off for making a legal left turn!!lol

  22. This pic reminds me of the car that sat in one of the gas/service stations located near Hwy. 100 and Oklahoma Ave. I think the color of the car was tan(?)...Any of you Wisconsin Hambers that cruised Hwy. 100 back in the 70's or 80's remember what I'm writing about?
The car was sitting around that area for a long time, almost like a landmark.
I wonder what happened to it, I'm thinking it went to the crusher.

  28. #36 in the original post. I believe it was called "Vampyre". Saw it in '08 at Detroit Autorama. Back end was slightly more interesting, resembled a '59 Impala. Here's a crappy pic of the rear.

Well, production or custom, bubble is a bubble and I didn't think it needs explaining.

I will edit the first posts as soon as I'm on a computer.

  30. Do you mean the Beatnik Bandit? There is no way that car can be driven with the top down!
