Looks great, but it doesn't look like you can sit up straight in it.

I have been advised that this is a Canadian car... and that it was destroyed sometime in the '60s

That car came out of Calgary Alberta in the early 60's. By the late 70's it was nothing but a bare shell, even the bubble was gone. I had a chance to buy the remains for $100 around 1980 but I was still a teenager living at home and had no place to store it. It got crushed. :(

  7. Cool ride. Bet not many people know what that light/grille combo is from!

  8. Al, do you know if that was born a bullet nose Stude?

Yes, it started life as a bullet-nose Stude. And I remember being told it was Ford flathead powered during its show days.

Nope. I found it out at ACME Alberta a number of years ago. I have a spy in the field trying to locate it as we speak.

    Whale oil beef hooked!!!!!
I was told that it had been crushed not long after I passed on it in the early 80's. If it's still out there I hope someone saves it. Hell, I'd like a crack at it again myself.

Acme is so small it could be searched in a couple hours if it's in town :)

On a nearby farm would be more of a challenge.

He didnt have time to install the "fake" copper fuel lines, but it was amazing how many people it fooled ! The grille is one side of a 1960 Monarch there was a grille in the middle as well they were a really wide car !

  22. I know someone that has some family property out by Acme - I'll ask if they know anything about it.

  23. It's actually a 1961 Meteor headlight assy turned sideways. Monarchs were Mercury bodied Meteors used Ford bodies.

    Pics for comparison
