It's home now and torn down completely. Now needing to figure out exactly what rocket engine that it actually is. Broken #3 piston skirt. Yes, I will be looking for a piston. Anybody have one? Going to post the numbers later on the engine.

Cool, it sure looks better than it did sitting in all those weeds.

Yup, I am very happy that after teardown we found only one very small dime size rust area. And, the driver's front fender is the worst of the body in need of much massaging.

Is this the one that had a matching set of magnesium 5 spokes on it?

Looks solid & strait, nice buy. I love old Ford trucks. Does anybody know if they were made of a heaver gauge steel body panels as compared to cars? They always seem to last longer.

Nice truck, even better with that mill.

Why not try Egge for the piston?

The truck is completely disassembled already. Only one problem now, it's interfering with the 29 Model A build that is about 50% complete.

Still have the wheels, just the rear 2. Will either try to match up with fronts or sell and get 4 new to replace them. The trans is the original 3 speed on the floor and original rearend. Old adaptor plate hookup. The frontend and brakes had just been rebuilt prior to the the piston breaking and parking it. Probably going to keep it this way unless we change our minds along the way.

I'd get her going, license it with farm plates, put stock looking wheels on it, quiet exhaust, wash it, and go around surprising the hell out of late model Mustangs and Camaros. lol... To me it's one of the ultimate traditional hot rods. The type 90% of early hot rodders built and drove. Great save man!
