Kind of bittersweet, Frank's wife was having a bit of a rough time now that the car is gone and that chapter of her life is closed. But even after sitting for almost two years the old deuce fired up and I drove it on my trailer. My dad stopped over and we even took a little victory lap around the block. Can't wait to get it roadworthy again and clock some miles

  4. There will be people here who will say leave it as it is forever. I loved Frank and had some spirited conversations with him through the years and got to know him a little. I believe he'd like you to make it your own if that's your preference....if not..............that's cool too.
I'd have to freshen up the finish when I freshen up the rest of it for "duty".
    Nice car...love it.

I know the intergety of the welds and build quality on that car are good. I have seen a lot of his work when he worked for ED building those late model race cars. I have 2 in my field now. I am glad the car has a good care taker.

I read the thread on Fab32 as well as the one a bit ago that you were getting the car, all I can say is it's an end of one era, and the start of a new one.

By the looks of your "stable", I'm thinking Fab32's wife made a good choice for it's new home.

    Enjoy the ride!

Be sure to stop by her house with that and take her out to eat or ice cream. Yes it will remind her of Frank in a sad but also happy way.
Happy tears. Congratulations. It went to the perfect owner.

  11. Take your time, all its "needs" right now is to be on its wheels and appreciated

I'm sure Frank would be proud you're now the caretaker of his Deuce.
I certainly appears it's in good company :)
And nice little Trump too! ;)

That car is awesome Scott. It doesn't look like it needs much to be able to eat up all kinds of miles. Looks a lot more comfortable than your sedan haha

  14. Glad it went to someone that will appreciate it and treat the way the person that built it would like it treated...I hope to find and buy my old buddy Gators T he built back in the day
