You can buy them at Aircraft Spruce (Oillight bushings.) I found exactly the size I needed.

I made a set for my 40 Ford in 1978 and they are still holding up just fine. I just used bronze bar stock that I had. Never thought about oilite. They don't squeak or deteriorate as rapidly as rubber.

Go oilite. The things will be self lubing. Sure won't flex.

My dad and I built a set of bronze bushing for my Scout. They worked surprisingly good. We built shackle bolts with grease passages and zirks too.

Oil-lite bushings are available from Limeworks also.

I've made them for a '34 Packard before.

That car used a Bijur lube system so you might want to drill and tap for grease fittings if you go with bronze.

Not a '32 guy, but these look trick for leaf spring applications. Can anyone supply the dimensions of the ones in the first picture?......o.d., i.d., length, etc.

I used delrin (sp?) plastic in my Willys. A shot of wd40 occasionally, good to go.

I have had a set on my 32 for 20 years. Work fine and don't squeek of fall apart. I got flanged oil lite bearings from a bearing supply store. 1" OD flange with a 3/4" OD body and 1/2" bore. 1" long.
