Recently obtained this Brass O scale Dreyfuss Hudson boiler in a deal.Needs a chassis and running gear but I am working on it.
Because I always wanted a light grey Dreyfuss Hudson and when I found the boiler and Tender for a great price,I jumped at them!I do not regret it !
Brass model trains are in themselves, just like the car hobby, some like them in raw brass (though many are varnished from the factory), others like to paint them. Then there’s factory paint, weathering, and those like me that like to actually operate them. New brass models go for ridiculous money, ask me how my wallet knows... Looks great! Always loved the Dreyfus Hudsons. Though, admittedly, I am a Pennsy fan over NYC, and the T1 is another amazing streamlined loco. But my heart always swoons for any skyline cased Southern Pacific locomotive... Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
My Favorite SP Locomotives, the 4300s. I have at least 7 of them in brass. HO scale. This is an early Max Gray KTM model: Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Most of my work locations were next to RxR. Few years ago got to see the D&H run by, at slow speed, while working. EXTREMELY impressive and HUGE!
