right now im running a mc/booster form a 1980 caprice wit the prop/ valve on my 50 Pontiac sedan , the car brakes fine but ive heard that im running the wrong set up? im planning to switch to disk in the front in the future any thoughts? here is the mc/booster here is the prop valve
If the fronts lock up just before the rears, the valve is pretty much right. Or so I've always been told.
Make sure you can lock the brakes on a good, hard stop. If the car gets squirrelly, pulls to one side, or tries to spin, something's wrong. If the pedal feels like you just shoved your foot into a load of wet laundry, something's wrong. Go drive your daily, or better yet, go test drive a new car, and pay attention to the braking. Your car will never stop like a new car, -BUT- the brake PEDAL should have the same feel.
